Mid-Century Asian Oxen Sanitation Cart Wooden Folk Art - Primitive Antique

Hand crafted statue of early "poop scooper ox cart" depicts a man with a face cover walking the ox, towing the cart with 2 barrels on it's platform. It depicts an early method of sewage removal before plumbing. This came from a collection of an Army wartime veteran who served in Korea and Vietnam.

Carved from 2 species of wood. The base appears lighter with longer woodgrain patterns and the statues are darker with tighter, more concentrated grain patterns. See photos.

Measures 16" long x 3.25" wide at the base and 6" high at the tallest point. Very sturdy and well made.
