COLLECTORLINKS...ALWAYS ON THE LOOKOUT

FOR WHAT OTHERS ARE LOOKING FOR

Antique and vintage items often make nicer than new gifts

ITEM

These are two very decorative blue and white matching bowls produced by J Kent and Co / Fenton as part of their "Louis 14th" range. The floral transfer pattern features a lovely mix of Daisies and Pansies.

The printed back stamp suggests they were made during the Edwardian period c.1910.

CONDITION

In spite of their genuine antique status (well over 100 years old) the bowls are in very good condition (i.e no chips or cracks). For the sake of accuracy, we notice in a specific light a few used-related very light surface marks in the bottom of the bowls, but this requires a very close-up inspection.

PRICING

Whenever possible our asking prices are based on either our knowledge of the genre or on what similar pieces have been sold for on the international market, rather than what some sellers are asking, which are usually two very different things!

You will normally find that our prices sit somewhere in the middle between auction and professional dealer prices and the current market. We are always willing to consider realistic offers.

SHIPPING

We have a 100pc success rate for over a decade in successfully shipping fragile antiques and collectables across the UK and the wider World. We only charge what the Post Office and couriers charge us and subsidise the cost of packing materials.

International shipping? Since Covid, we have used Ebay's Global Shipping Programme because it has proved to be competitive and reliable for packages over 2kg. For packages weighing less than 2kg we can usually offer a Royal Mail Airmail rate.
