A patch panel or patch field is a patch panel that is used to connect, distribute and marshal connections and can therefore be used for the orderly construction of complex cable structures in buildings.
Patch panels are housed in distribution cabinets and are among the passive components of a network; active components are, for example, switches or routers. By simply replugging patch cables, they enable communication services to be easily connected to a workstation without having to change the cabling.
profipatch offers different variants, such as 0.5 HU and 1 HU patch panels
with 8 ports, 12 ports or 24 ports in 10 inches, 19 inches or as a desktop version that can also be screwed directly to the wall.
In order to get from the distribution cabinet to the user, the installation cables are routed into data sockets, which can be used in floor tanks, parapet ducts or wall outlets. For this purpose, profipatch offers 1-fold, 2-fold and 3-fold data sockets in various classifications up to Cat.6A.
