Very beautiful iconographic suite published for the first time by Jean Leclerc in 1596. The drawings are traditionally attributed to Jean Cousin the Younger (1522-1595) painter in the style of Florentine mannerism, engraver, illustrator, sculptor and glassmaker. The woodcuts were made by different engravers. They are accompanied by a legend and the biblical passage in French that they illustrate.
