Retired Inge-Glas®️ hand-blown, -painted and -decorated, translucent glass sugar or sugared plum ornament distributed by Old World Christmas®️. Fruit is shaded yellow-orange to light purple with four green leaves on top (molded, not attached) and completely coated in fine colorless glitter with a little bit of metallic gold mixed in. Has the Inge-Glas trademark “Star Cap”: a metallic gold cap stamped “MADE IN GERMANY” with a 5-pointed star hanger. No tags. Measures just under 2" h (w/o hanger, 2 3/8” w/ hanger) x 1 1/4” width and weighs .25 oz.

Found wrapped in tissue with a mini strawberry (listed separately) in an OWC Inge-Glas ornament box (see pics). Both ornaments were probably purchased in 1999 or 2000 and used one or two years. They have been stored with other Christmas decorations (also being listed) for the past 20+ years.

From a smoke-free home.

*Inge-Glas introduced this plum (with four molded leaves versus one artificial attached) in 1998 and ceased its production in 2000. It was one of several fruits Inge-Glas apparently made in silvered and unsilvered versions. This example is not silvered inside, which makes it translucent: when placed in front of a light (such as when it is hanging on the tree) its lacquers give a colorful glow - a look that makes me think of jellied candy!
