A Scarce Antler Hare Coursing Dog Whistle Stick or Crop.

The Antler's been primitively carved carved into the form of a dog. The Whistle still functions fine. It may have also belonged to a Hunt Master but I believe that it was actually a Hare Courser stick or crop as it's very short & there's a loverly handmade Greyhound on the ferrule.

Approx just over 11 1/4" in length.

The stick it's self is made of Malacca.

It would make a perfect & unusual Christmas present or a unique piece for the collector.

In expected used condition for an item of this age & nature. The thread would benefit from a little attention which attaches the original leather flap. The thread still has intricate twisted interwoven work at the start & finish of the thread.
