This article was handbeaded by a Zulu Lady of the Nompondo self-help group in Northern KwaZulu. The group was formed in the mid-seventies as a means of supplementing their incomes, whilst working from home, and at the same time to promote a dying art-form, leading to a revival of both traditional and modern beadwork.
