I'm the author. I sign and number each book, enclose extra pages, and ship in a sturdy box.

Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced collector, you will love Hartland Horsemen. Even if you only want to identify Hartland riders and their horses and hats, guns, saddles, etc., and get an idea of what's scarce and what's common, and pricing ranges for various levels of completeness and condition, this guide will help immensely.

Hartland stands alone in the quality and quantity (over six dozen) of its plastic horse-and-rider sets depicting historical heroes and 1950s-1960s TV western stars. The sets came in four sizes (scales). Most had at least five pieces. Nearly every hat was a different shape. Many of the riders came with two or more horse designs, for a total of about 150 different horses, mostly 8" or taller.  It's a complex and breathtaking body of work. With their finely-molded detail and precision painting, Hartland's horse-and-rider sets were too good to be toys, but we played with them anyway!

This book also includes the 1970s, '80s, and '90s re-releases, and the standing gunfighters.

The breed-series Hartland horses are in a separate book, Hartland Horses and Dogs, and I'm also author of Hartland Horses: New Model Horses Since 2000, which includes another round of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans and some other western items. For Hartland history and artistry, the indispensible book is Hartland Horses and Dogs.

Recent eBay feedback:
Shipped in a sturdy box ..."This is a magnificent book filled with wonderful color pictures & text including sources & references. I am actually old enough to have watched these TV shows. Also included were several loose sheets with updated information. I especially appreciate that this softcover book & the loose pages were placed in a protective plastic sleeve to avoid scratches and/or tears and were shipped in a sturdy box. Other softcovers I've purchased were shipped in rollable envelopes subject to damage."

"The Hartland Horsemen book is wonderful and far exceeds the posted description and pictures! The book is filled with beautiful pictures of Hartland horses, riders, and any accessories that were a part of each set. Anyone collecting Hartland items needs this book. The book was mailed in a book box and shipped very quickly. The book is well worth the price. Thanks for creating a wonderful Hartland resource!" (Summer 2023)
