Rare vintage USSR Russian mechanical wristwatch Vostok KOMANDIRSKIE. Made by order of the Ministry of Defense USSR. The Vostok Company was founded in 1942 when one of the Moscow watch-making plants of the First Moscow Watch Factory was evacuated to Chistopol, a small town located on the Kama River in Tatarstan. Presumable "Vostok" brand was named after the Vostok space program, which gave the initial advancement of the USSR in the Space race (as some others soviet watch brands, named to space topics in 1960s - Poljot and Raketa). The company was appointed an official supplier of watches for the Defense Department of the Soviet Union in 1965. This year also marks the creation of the well-known Komandirskie ("Commander's") watch. (Today, these models have become sought-after collectibles.) The watch in fully working order – you can use it for everyday wearing, or if you are collector, Vostok Antimagnetic Amphibian watch will be super addition to your collection - the price of this watch increases every year. It has a gold plated case with dustproof, hand winding crown and back stainless steel cover, face glass is made of plastic. The movement - mechanical, with manual winding, super quality. On the dial, hours markers are fluorescent (luminous in dark). The balance of watch have shock-proof device. This Vostok watch is used but are in good working and cosmetic condition as seen on the images below. The watch has been serviced. Watchband is added as a gift.
