DESCRIPTION:  Here is the third one from a set of six listed for sale. A late 19th century French Sevres style porcelain pedestal tea cup and saucer. Decorated with a burnished gilt bee pattern. The handle in a seven type shaped handle is fully gilded. The cup has a square shaped foot that sits into a square shape gilt lined well. The cup and saucer are both marked to the base with a red painted Me Imp-le de Sevres with ss having two red lines through them below. Date to the late 19th century. An elegant shaped cup and saucer.
The bee is a Napoleon emblem for Industry. 

SIZE:  The cup measures 3 1/2 inches high to the top of the handle and 3 1/2 inches in diameter. The saucer measures 5 5/8 inches in diameter.  Weighs 208 g before packing. 

CONDITION:   Both cup and saucer have no chips, cracks or restoration and ring well when tapped. For accuracy the cup with minor ware to the gilded handle. The inside gilt band of the cup has an area of dimpling.  There is a small area of gilt ware to the top point of the handle as per picture. The saucer has some gilt ware to three of the bees.
