This genuine hand woven Turkish style runner rug is a Baluchi design with 100% natural woolen runner rug made by Afghan craftsman. These runners are a type of Oriental rug belonging to the family of flat weaves of loop piles. The material used in making this rug is 100% natural sheep wool and sometimes mixed with silk, which is not only durable, but also free from all allergies. This is an original rug made by Afghan craftsmen and craftswomen who have been making such rugs since centuries. There is a clear photo from the back of the carpet for identification of hand weave rugs. Each of these rugs take months to finish, each strand of wool and silk is hand knotted individually one by one, having the deigns memorized by the artist or using very old design blueprint, which only they can understand. Each weave has to be placed in a perfection position to make the design clear, but minor human errors are still unavoidable, which gives these rugs the soul of human touch.
