This large folio edition book from circa 1838-49 showcases the art in the palace of Versailles, featuring stunning prints produced by steel pantograph and diagraph engraved plates. There were over 150 engravers and 30 designers who worked on illustrations for the book. It is a luxury and limited large folio edition measuring 27" x 17". This is from an ex-library collection.

The spine & corners are leather, the covers are mabled boards and the top page edges are gilded. The text is in French

There are some condition issues. There is foxing throughout, edge bumps, loose spine leather, scattered text on the end pages and there may be a few of the prints missing. NO I DID NOT COUNT THEM AND I WILL NOT. IVE GOT TO MANY OTHER THINGS TO DO. LOOK THIS BOOK UP THEY ARE VERY EXPENSIVE IN ANY CONDITION. this book is a must-have for any book collector. This is a very larhe and heavy book.
