The E188CC is a low noise, long life tube.
It offers a higher resolution compared to the E88CC.

Suited for preamplifiers or phono stages or CD players.
Can be used as substtute for the E88CC.

But: It draws 330mA on the heater. The E88CC draws 300mA.
