This is a superb Georgian mahogany cheese cradle dating from around 1800.  It has decorative roundels in the corners and sits on a square base with a small round foot at each corner. 

The mahogany has a wonderful rich colour and patina that can only come from its age and a lot of polishing over the years.

It is in very good condition for its age, with only minor signs of age and use.
