CONDITION: The three volumes are in comparable very good condition.  Some friability of the leather on the upper spine ends, but other edges of covers are well intact. Covers and spines substantially complete and in good condition.  Spines largely complete except for top ends (see photos).  Bindings strong and in good condition.  Gilded top edge (as a dust protector).  Leather is not dried out, as in most other Poe sets like this.  Internally, all books are in excellent condition.  No obvious defects, such as dog-ears, tears or rips.  Paper is white, not yellowed.

Each volume has been provided with a new glassine cover to protect it.  The three volumes are housed in a new, custom-made, acid-free, archival-quality, green box.  This box is the same dimensions and color as the box this set was originally issued in.

A very nice vintage set for the Poe fan.
