Despite repeated minor changes, the Custom 24 has continued to reign as the core model of PRS's lineup since its founding in 1985, and its perfect sound and playability have been used by various artists, making it a model synonymous with PRS. That's it.
Continuing from around 2020, the latest spec uses a gloss lacquer topcoat after body coloring, so it features a different texture and raw sound than previous models.
The bridge is Gen3Tremolo, which has been adopted in the regular model since the 2017 model, and PRSTtremolo, which has a reputation for preventing tuning errors when using the arm, but Gen3Tremolo has a groove in the part where the set screw of the saddle of the bridge plate is installed. At the same time as being cut, the 6 saddles are installed very tightly, preventing the saddles from shifting sideways and minimizing tuning errors.
In addition, we have made the bridge mounting screws larger, and left the saddle height adjustment screw, saddle mounting screw, and the part of the saddle that touches the strings unplated, contributing to rich overtones and sustain.
