Cute and unusual vintage 1980s chain necklace with hop cone and pink suncatcher gems charms. Plated rope chain, approximately 6.2mm thick (max) Gold tone metal. Hop cone charms have antiqued finish. Embellished with five large hop cone charms/pendants in two different shapes and semi-transparent pink stones (I believe they are acrylic) Necklace length 16"- 18" (adjustable). Hop cones are 29 x 17 mm and 16.4x20.4 mm large Made in England by Legacy, British manufacturer for the UK high street. The company was founded in the 1920s and was one of the largest jewellery suppliers to Liberty, Harrods, Selfridges, John Lewis, House of Fraser, Frank Usher, Jane Shilton and other good quality brands. The company closed in the early 1990s. This funky, charming necklace was part of their recently re-discovered original stock, as preserved in their warehouse for several decades. |
