 You are looking at a very unique and somewhat rare Amperite PGAH dynamic microphone made in New York City during the 1940's. The PGAH mic was an entry level dynamic mic offered by Amperite at that time. It has a very industrial steampunk look that's all it's own. It comes with the Atlas DS-7 adjustable desk stand shown.

 As you can see in the pictures provided this beautiful microphone has a minimum of cosmetic wear and overall in very good condition. It's has 100% original parts with all inner components including the dynamic element which is still intact but sadly, this microphone no longer works and should be used for display, prop or repair purposes only.

 The PGAH model had a highly polished housing. Most I come across are in very rough condition but this one is a fine example and would do any collector justice. The Amperite badge looks very nice as well and the switch operates as it should. The joint mechanism has plenty of tension as well and you can get the right angle needed on the mic head.

 The threading for the cable and stand are perfect. The front grill shows zero dents or tarnish.

 The mic will screw on to any American desk or floor stand but it comes with the Atlas stand shown.

 The stand is a classic Atlas DS-7 model from the 1950's with a heavy cast iron base and original paint. It makes for a very stable platform and just a few years newer than the mic. The DS-7 has a beautiful 2 piece chrome riser / stem assembly and has the 3 original rubber pads to keep the stand from scratching any surface you may use to rest it on.  Just lite rust stains on the bottom of the base. The stand is a real gem and will keep this mic upright where it belongs.

 I would rate the cosmetic condition of this Amperite a true 7 on  a scale of 1 - 10. This would make a great display piece in the home, office or studio. An instant conversation piece. These also make great lamp conversions if you are into doing such projects because of all the room inside the mic and the interested screen it has.
