These definitive stamps depicted General Jose Artigas (1764-1850), who is considered the father of Uruguayan nationhood. In the group photo the top stamp was issued on November 21, 1910 (perforation 14), Sc# UY190. The bottom three stamps (each with perforation 11 1/2) were issued later.
