Shofuku Eto

This lovely set of Japanese New Year zodiac figurines was made in Kyoto by Yakushigama and purchased at Daimaru Department store for the 2007 year of the Boar but could be displayed anytime - especially if you were born in the year of the Boar (see dates below).
Details:
The figures measure about 3” or 8cm long and about 2.5” or 6cm tall - one gold and one white.
They are actually ceramics bells with a ball inside to make them ring when you pick them up. They include a plastic display stand and decorative folding byobu screen. Beautifully made and hand painted in Kyoto, Japan.
Condition:
Pre-owned: excellent condition with minor box wear - see photos.
Boar (Inoshishi):
2007, 1983, 1971, 1959, 1947, 1935, 1923, 1911. People born in the year of the Boar are brave. They have tremendous inner strength which no one can overcome. They display great honesty. They are short-tempered, yet hate to quarrel or have arguments. They are affectionate and kind to their loved ones.
