Sarah Coventry's Celebrity line was available exclusively to top selling hostesses in the 1960s. It was a BIG departure from Coventry's more moderately scaled jewelry. The Celebrity collection, as well as Coventry's Midnight Magic series are two of the company's most recognizable designs, researched and referenced in scores of vintage jewelry publications. The brooch / pendant combo offered spotlights the huge smoky quartz colored art glass stone -- unfoiled and open back set. Scroll work in matte silver tone frames the stone, accented with smoky quartz or "black diamond" chaton rhinestones. There can be no doubt of its celebrity status!
