V BOTH FILMS WERE WATCHED COMPLETELY AND PHOTOS WERE TAKEN TO REFLECT THAT. I FOLLOWED ALONG WITH A UTUBE COPY AND THIS IS COMPLETE. RUN TIME IS OVER THIRTY MINUTES. I WAS UNABLE TO KEEP UP WITH THE SPEED OF THE ONLINE COPY, EVEN AT THE FASTEST SPEED OF MY PROJECTOR. PLEASE NOTE that this copy will not match the quality of later restored versions, copies of which are found online.

All of my photos were taken in the morning as I watched the films so you can expect better contrast than I had. In addition, some of the photos are fuzzy because the shutter speed was too slow to catch the images on darker scenes.

TOUR OF MGM STUDIOS- 1925- This is a pretty uncommon short that is also pretty well known. The film runs through all of the different departments at MGM, even the nursing department. Like all copies, the original title card has been replaced with a basic title "1925 STUDIO TOUR". There are several actors and actresses shown. I only know that the woman behind the stacks of mail in her arms is Norma Shearer and the woman in the white hat is named Carmel Meyers (Myers), who mad her last film in 1976 in Won Ton Ton, the Dog who Saved Hollywood. Claire Windsor is with a dog and  the photo of the man dressing the woman is Erte dressing Lucille Le Sueur (Joan Crawford) and the photo after that is Erte by himself . The main image is Joan Crawford aka (Lucille Le Sueur), circa 1925. The film, produced in 1925, refers to her as "an MGM 'FIND' of 1925.

This film was taken only a year after the founding of MGM and shows each department.

Some of the film was dark and I could not get a good image of Tod Browning or Irving Thalberg in my one run through. While I expect that the majority of the lack of contrast was due to the bright light coming in my windows, it is also possible that the contrast of the film itself simply was not that great in some areas.
