You are looking at a rare JB & SM Knowles sterling silver large confection spoon in the "Apollo" pattern. The back of the handle is marked "Sterling" and has the maker's mark for JB & SM Knowles. The spoon is about 4 3/4" long. The total weight for the spoon is 17.4 grams on my gram scale.
The top side of the handle is engraved in fancy script with the initials "L N L." The back of the handle has the date 1895.
