I sold another one and heard from the awesome buyer. Her story is so cool. She knows the artist, Chuck Brome, and lives near by him. She explained, that although I first thought they were paperweights, they are in fact salt shakers or salterras as the artist calls them. She explained you pour table salt into the bottom. It fills up like an hour glass and then you just shake it out. What a great story.
