Set GWS1 Great Western Railway 48xx class loco and auto-train, circa 1935.
This is a 2007 design with updates.
Millimodels
sets are individually numbered and produced in limited editions of 500 for each
set.
Millimodels,
continuing in the tradition of miniature card and paper modelling in the 21st
Century.
This is a card kit to cut out and assemble which builds to a complete passenger train measuring approximately 10 inches long with included track base. Comprising 48xx class Collet 0-4-2T locomotive, a pair of auto-coaches and track base.
Several
of these locomotives are preserved, number 1466 being the first locomotive to
be purchased by what became the Great Western Society based at Didcot, and
various examples of different designs of auto-coaches are as well.
This set is to 1/200 scale and is compatible with Micromodels, which varied
in scale around this size.
These model kits are intended for experienced modellers and are detailed
and small in size. Good eyesight or magnification is required and steady hands!
Millimodels are intended to fill some of the gaps in the Micromodels railways
range, with railways that were not represented by them and also some of the
smaller subjects. In addition, it has been decided to make some sets, at least,
as whole trains rather than sets of locomotives. It is hoped
that more sets may be added to the range on a regular basis and
produced in small numbers.
