Alesis Vintage Keyboards QCard !!! - now includes LIFETIME Warranty !!!
IMPORTANT NOTE: This card DOES NOT WORK with the QS7, QS8, or QSR models. If you own a QSR, QS7, or QS8, then see my other auctions or e-mail me.
No Longer Made by Alesis
The Alesis Vintage Keyboards QCard is in excellent cosmetic and working condition. Also included are the original Alesis Instruction Booklet/Patch Charts and the Protective Jewel Case.
Note that this card has been Refurbished and is guaranteed to be in excellent working condition, with a LIFETIME warranty. QCards are comprised of several primary components - the Outer Casing, the 68 Pin PCMCIA Connector, and a Circuit Board containing many electronic components including Flash Memory Chips, ASICs, Transistors, Capacitors, and a primary Controller Chip. My Refurbished QCards have had at least one or more of these components replaced to guarantee that the card meets (or exceeds) the original factory specifications. If you are wondering why this card does NOT work in the QSR/QS7/QS8 Models, it is because of the fact that there are many different replacement Flash Memory Chips. These chips vary in price and compatibility. For example, The Flash Memory Chips required to refurbish a card that will work in the QSR/QS7/QS8 Models are considerably more expensive than the Flash Memory Chips required for all other QS/Quadrasynth Models. Because there are many QS owners that do not own a QSR, QS7 or QS8, I prefer to offer my buyers both options. This way owners of the Quadrasynth, Quadrasynth Plus Piano, S4, S4+, QS6, QS6.1, QS7.1, QS8.1, QS6.2, QS8.2 and the DG8 can save money by purchasing a cheaper card. If you require (or prefer) a card that works in the QSR/QS7/QS8 then check out the auctions for my $199 QSR/QS7/QS8 compatible cards. Also note that this card works in BOTH Slots of the QS6.1, QS7.1 and QS8.1 - it is only the QSR/QS7/QS8 Models that require the more expensive Flash Memory Chips for Upper and Lower Slot compatibility.
If you are looking for any other QCards or Quadracards, feel free to e-mail me through eBay and let me know what you are looking for. Because I also buy and trade QCards, I always have a decent inventory of good used cards in stock at any given time - so it is best to e-mail me for price and availability for any other cards you may be interested in. Note that if my ad specifies "refurbished" then at least one (or more) of the primary components has been replaced, but if the ad does NOT specify "refurbished" then the auction is for a good condition used QCard, NOT a "refurbished" card.
SPECIAL NOTE: This card DOES NOT WORK with the QS7, QS8, or QSR models. If you own a QSR, QS7, or QS8, then see my other auctions or e-mail me. My $199 Cards work great in the QSR/QS7/QS8 models - please refer to these ads for more detail regarding my support for the QSR/QS7/QS8.
This card works in ALL SLOTS in the following synths:
The Alesis 8 Megabyte Vintage Keyboards QCard offers a collection of super-realistic sounds from the greatest electronic keyboard instruments from the '60s, '70s and '80s. This library of classic keyboards begins with a wide selection of authentic electric pianos... everything from warm suitcases to biting rock wurlys and smooth, rich electric grands. Of course, we also added your favorite rock organ sounds, and included important details like key click and rotating speaker effects. Each drawbar on the organ has been individually sampled so you can easily assemble the best settings for all kinds of music. Dozens of clavs, harpsichords, and combo organs are included as well as a whole bank of mellow tape-driven string and choir sounds for your next psychedelic epic. You'll even find some early digital samplers and punchy FM keyboards for that '80s pop sound. This card also provides instruments that are multisampled at several key velocities and octaves. This quality means that sounds on the Vintage Keyboards QCard maintain their authentic tonal characteristics uniformly across the keyboard during every performance.
This QCard's superior sonic quality comes from 16-bit, 48kHz linear, master-quality samples. Its massive eight megabytes of sound ROM contain hundreds of carefully-recorded samples that are compatible with all Alesis QuadraSynth and QS Series synthesizers.
The Vintage Keyboards QCard contains 128 Programs and 100 multitimbral Mixes.

Patch name with mp3 demo | My comments |
Classic Rhodes Suitcase 88, with contradistinctive tremolo.
Cool sounding Rhodes Stage 73 electric piano
Very realistic and expressive.
Great sound! This obviously stands for "Omni", as in, the ARP Omni multikeyboard.
Nice approximation of the ARP Solina, but the sound isn't quite there.
And this is a nice emulation of the ARP Quartet.
Mellotron galore, a la King Crimson (noted progressive band).
Sweet flanging action, courtesy of the excellent Alesis processor.
Classic Rhodes Piano Bass, as used by Ray Manzarek in the Doors.
This obviously is an R.M.I. piano (Rocky Mountain Instruments). Nice and mellow.
Elka piano! Nice. | |
Great version of the Yamaha CP-80 classic electric grand piano, as used by Peter Gabriel in Genesis.
Classic, funky Hohner Clavinet.
Interesting and vintage sounding clavichord.
Outstanding Hammond sound, with excellent Leslie effect! Inspired by the sound of Booker T. & the MGs "Green Onions", a classic song.
Incredibly beautiful Hammond sound!!! This sounds really nice, especially the Leslie acceleration, and is inspired by the classic 70s organ by Korg, the "CX3" (that was recently remanufactured with a more modern slant).
Classic Keith Emerson Hammond C-3 sound - pardon my sloppy playing...
Nice combo organ as used in Iron Butterfly's classic "In a gadda da vida".
Spectacular Mellotron string patch!
Probably a Novatron choir?
Another great Mellotron instrument: the classic choir, used in innumerable Progressive tracks.
And finally the Mellotron flutes, used by the Beatles in their classic "Strawberry Fields Forever". |
NOTE: I believe in fair shipping fees, but due to constantly changing US Postal Rate changes, I have had to raise my shipping fees accordingly. I securely pack my cards using cardboard inserts and bubble packs, and the Post Office NO LONGER ships these packages at the letter rate. And they ALSO keep drastically changing international rates. I try to keep my shipping rates up to date with the USPS changes, and my current shipping fees are $5.50 via US First Class Mail in the continental US which includes tracking. Worldwide shipping is no longer a flat rate, the rate will change based on your country. I have found the current rates to range from around $13.00 to $18.00, depending on country. I try to keep my rates constant and fair but their frequent rate changes keep forcing me to adjust my shipping rates. International First Class Mail does NOT include Tracking. The ONLY USPS International Shipping Method that includes Tracking is Priority Express, which runs about $63, which is ridiculously expensive. But if you are an International customer and want Tracking, Priority Express is your ONLY available option. PayPal accepted. | Any questions? Feel free to contact me. |
