The furby uses 4 AA batteries to power it.  I tested the furby and it does a variety of things like play games, dance, and sing songs.  I would recommend viewing the 2005 furby manual (found on the internet) to use the different prompts for it.  The battery terminals look good.  I do not ship electronics with batteries.  The battery compartment is between the feet.  I wonder if the cover is the original as it looks like a different color. The mouth is made of a rubbery material.  This material has damaged with time.  There are some tears and the bottom piece is partially missing.  One of the feet (the left foot from furby's pov) had a broken mount.  I found a 3D printed version and I replaced the broken part.  I also replaced the screws.  He didn't seem to have a problem with it when he danced.  There are some marks on the feet.
