For me, function needs to lead form. My woggles are made so they can be untied and used if a need arises. They are made with enough cord to lace an adult size hiking boot. They have tails. You can wrap the tails around your neckerchief and knot it or tuck the tails inside your uniform. Traditionally, the cord ends in woggles are melted into the inside of the knot or glued. I think a woggle like this makes you better prepared. Be prepared.
