In 1894, Pairpoint merged with its neighbor, Mt. Washington Glass, and produced items such as lamps and castor sets which contained both metal and glass elements. Pairpoint also produced silverplate flatware which is sought by collectors today. Croyden is a multi-motif pattern brought out by Pairpoint in 1887. The exact number of motifs is unknown, but all feature an aesthetic design of flowers and leaves above and below a cartouche. Offered here is 3 servers in Croyden. The pieces offered here and their approximate measurements are as follows: cake saw with decorated blade about 10 3/4", ice cream serving knife with decorated blade about 10 1/4", and shell about 8 3/4". These are not pieces of new silver. They show the patina of as much as almost 140 years of careful use. There are the light scratches which constitute normal patina. There is no monogram. Silver is softly lustrous. There is no silver loss. The bowl of the berry shell has a French grey finish. The pattern is crisp and clear. The blade of the cake saw is decorated on both sides, and the blade of the ice cream knife is decorated with a bird in flight. These servers have been carefully used and well cared for. I polish all silver before listing on eBay. Please email with any questions before bidding. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE AUCTION DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY.
