DESCRIPTION: Here is a top quality mid to late 19th century Hungarian porcelain cup and saucer in the Herend and Zsolnay style. Hand enameled decorated with a Chinese floral pattern on a light cream ground. The raised enamelling includes yellow, red, pink, blue and light and dark green. The inside rim of the cup and the saucer rim have a gilt and blue enamel flur de lis type pattern. The handle is in the form of a running Chinese man wearing a green and gilt garment with yellow enamelled hat and trousers. Both cup and saucer sit on a circular reticulated gilt feet. The cup and saucer is unmarked but the cup has a remanence of a mark and is certainly 19th century and not modern. 

SIZE: The cup measures 1 3/4 inches high and 3 inches in diameter. The saucer measures 4 3/8 inches in diameter and 1 inch high. Weighs 110 g before packing.

CONDITION: The cup has three small chips to the pierced foot ring as per pictures, some red enamel missing from one flower as pictured and a little ware to the top gilt rim. The saucer is in very good condition.
