This charming cutting board by Berggren-Trayner Corp. is adorned with a screened pattern of rosemaled floral flourishes surrounding The Recipe for Happiness.

Produced in 1964, the Swedish Folk Art style pattern remains popular today.

The board is 17 inches long, 8 inches wide and 7/8 inches thick.  There is a hole in the handle for hanging on the wall.

The text is:

Recipe for Happiness
One full measure of kindness ..
A dash of laughter ..
Equal parts of work and play ..
A generous heap of love ..
Stir these ingredients together
with loving care.  Add humor
to suit.  Sprinkle with good
luck to insure best results.

The board is in Good condition, not Very Good.  There is wear around the bottom edge veneer .  There is a white scratch across the text of the recipe.  There are indications that the board was cut upon.  It looks like it came out of a busy, productive kitchen.

This isn't the best this board has ever looked, but its sentiment is clear and easy to read, and its message is heart-warming.
