This is the only vertical camera grip on the market for the R7 that allows you to access the battery compartment with the original battery door attached. 

The grip has male threads for connecting to the camera, and it also female metal threads for connecting the grip to a tripod.

It has two slots for storing backing up SD memory cards. The door to access the battery can be removed entirely allowing you to stick a finger through the grip and press the DoF button comfortably (useful for vertical shooting).

I designed this because I have large hands. For me this grip makes the camera so much nicer to use. The grip protects the bottom of your camera and helps the camera to stand up when set down. The grip is good and firm on the camera, no wobble. It is well molded to fit the bottom of the camera.

You can leave it in a hot car without worry of the grip warping.

The grip is 3D printed from high quality plastic (ASA) for high impact resistance, high temp resistance, UV resistance, and chemical resistance. It's essential ABS plastic with additives to make it better. The print quality of the grip is quite good because is printed on a high quality 3D printer.

The grip is extremely strong at it's mounting points. The stainless steel metal threads are reinforced with metal flanges. The metal flanges have thick reinforcing plastic surrounding them. The grip becomes rigid once you attach it to the camera by tighten down the dial on the bottom. The tightening dial is very strong you don't need to worry about breaking it.

The grip is printed with some hollow areas in the grip to cut back on weight. The grip weighs only 122 grams, but it's probably stronger than the camera.
