First edition first printing of this stand alone mystery / thriller. Published by Random House of New York in 1957. Published later under the title The Soft Talkers. Small shallow chips and tears along the top edge of the dustjacket. Someone re enforced the tips of the dustjacket with tape that with age has turned brown. There is two light spots of moisture staining to the outside edge of the first free end page, does not appear to effect any other pages. Price clipped otherwise in very good / very good condition.
