This is a 1971-S (San Francisco) Eisenhower Silver Proof Dollar NGC PF69* Cameo "Peg Leg R" (Proof 69 Star Cameo). The "Peg Leg R" is a Variety type coin that can be found on NGC's Variety Plus page and recognized by CONECA. The Peg Leg occurs as a result of an over polished die that polishes off the lower stem of the R. The first image is provided by the NGC Photography Team and can be downloaded; however, the reverse is of the wrong coin which NGC must have mixed up somehow. The brighter areas in the fields that pop up on the coin look like little tiny contact marks or something. They are really difficult to pick up through imaging, but they are there. Please use your own best judgement to determine the grade/quality of the item and see each picture before purchasing!
