Eastlake Carved Wooden Rocking Horse.

An Eastlake period carved rocking horse made of fruitwood. Beautifully carved throughout with attentive backward facing ears, round eyes and a curling mane. A colorful bridal and saddle are elaborately carved, painted in bold primary colors. The base consists of two solid wood rockers carved with scrolls, secured with three lap joined slats.

Unfortunately there is no tail and there are various cracks and a small nail to the handle ( as pictured)

Still a very sturdy, heavy and well made fruit wood rocking horse, perfect for the home or for a display or prop.

50cm from the saddle to the footrest
