This is a relatively small "Kalat", or offering dish. The top dish is about 6 inches in diameter and the piece is about 4.5 inches tall. Made from wood and rattan, hand-made and hand-lacquered with red, black, and a little green. "Happy Elephant" in the center of the dish. It has no damage but it stands slightly lopsided (it was made that way).
My family lived in Burma in the 1970's so its at least that old, but most likely much older. It has at least one small chip in the finish and some slight cracking on the top which is completely normal and not very noticeable. Please see all the pictures!
