These ivory-colored kid-leather opera gloves are marked on the inside "6 1/2 Made in France" and were discovered in my mother's wardrobe.  My mother never went to the opera and so I am certain that these originally belonged to her mother (my Grandmother) who lived in France in the 1930's and had a number of very fine clothing accessories. Its likely these gloves are at least 80 years old but I have no way of knowing exactly, or who the manufacturer was. My grandparents came to the USA from France before WWII and lived in Chicago.

These gloves are about 22.5 inches long and are for a slender lady.   That length means they will extend past the elbow towards the shoulder.  Each glove has 3 pearl buttons and due to the age I have to assume they are not artificial. The leather is thin and soft. I did not find any stains or marks on the outside. The color is an off-white creamy ivory color and I have not had them appraised or cleaned. They are original condition exactly as they came out of the wardrobe box.  Its most likely that they were not used much, if at all.
