Superb antique lidded porcelain stein/tankard by Capodimonte of Italy.

Stein is intricately decorated in porcelain scenes of cherubs and animals. Handle is gilded and painted like a branch with a large face for a thumb rest and bronze eagle lid opener.

The top of the stein has a large finial of a cherub or angel with a basket of flowers.

Stein measures 11.5” tall, 7” wide with handle, and 4” deep.

Marked on base with underglaze blue N with crown mark and the impressed numbers “2832”.

The piece is in very good condition for its age. One small chip to one of the flowers on the finial, and one chip to a flower on the lid. Also a chip to the tongue of the face on the handle. Please see photos for details.
