Letters from an American Farmer provides an invaluable view of the pre-Revolutionary and Revolutionary eras of New York and the United States.   First published in England in 1783 and again in 1786 by J. M Dent & Sons Ltd, the first US-printing was conducted in 1904 by E.P. Dutton & Co, though many of the author's comments weren't included until a Collectors Edition was again published by Dutton & Co. in 1912.

This book is beyond Mint condition, having been stored for decades wrapped in plastic until an estate auction placed it in our hands.  Its green cloth on board with Gold inlay print, no bumping, torn or creased pages, no spots, scrapes or damage of any kind.  This, the last Collectors Edition released by Dutton in 1912, is EXTREMLY RARE and well worth the addition to any collector of Americana from the Colonial days of New York.
