This heart has been handcrafted by me in my home studio in Pembrokeshire.  I have been working as a glass artist for approximately 15 years and have recently expanded into working with other materials including resin.  I made this unique heart by bonding together various dichroic effect film sheets and then applying a process involving heating the films to create a unique design - even when using the exact same combination of films the result is quite different every time - so each heart really is unique.  I have then applied 2 coats of resin to the heart - the resin has the effect of creating an added depth to each design and also of protecting the heart.  Finally I have mounted the heart onto a natural slate heart using an extra strong 2-part epoxy glue.  The slate heart measures 6" x 6" and comes fitted with a jute cord so that it is ready to hang.  (The film and resin heart is approx 4" x 4".)

If you are buying this heart as a gift and would like to personalise it by adding a message on the reverse of the heart please message me at the time of purchase and I will be happy to do this.  I will use a white pen and then seal the message with a coat of varnish - see photo 3 for example.
