This is an original script done for Vanguard Films, David O. Selznick’s short-lived film company. Script was written in 1946 by Donald M. Frame, a noted scholar of French literature. It was based on Jules Quicherat’s historical manuscript from the 1840s. This appears to be a first draft written from a historical perspective, my guess is that screenwriters would have done many revisions o; it later. It does not appear this was ever produced. Vanguard folded a few years later. I can’t find any evidence that this script was related to the Ingrid Bergman version of Joan that came out in 1948.

The script is a rare piece of entertainment memorabilia and an excellent addition to any movie script collection. Script is in VG shape, some wear on the cover, no marking inside based on a quick flip through.
