Here is a pair of 5-cent New York World's Fair stamp covers, each with three stamps logically paying the 15-cent airmail rate to UK. Both are from New York City or state to England. The small covers have some edge and corner wear from international postal handling.

First is a neat and small 28 May Elizabeth Barnett Browning Junior High School, 183rd Street and Ryer Avenue, NYC 58 corner card cover with the three stamps neatly tied by a machine postmark to a firm in Maney, Sutton Coldfield, central England. The signature of the sender, E. Byrne, is above the address.

Then we have a May 1 cover with Albany postmark to one HE Hotchin, Alford Road, Sutton-on-Sea, Nr. Alford, Lincolnshire, central England. The address of the sender, JA Hotchin, Maple Avenue, Delmar NY, is on the back.

An unusual New York through and through 5-cent New York World's Fair pair of small covers logically paying the 15-cent airmail rate to England.

The postage on this lot is higher than I would like, which is down to Royal Mail rates and other charges beyond my control such as eBay and PayPal commissions. I use good British stamps to send all my lots and these should result in collectable stamps cancelled by hand in my village post office for the buyer.

As I have some buy-it-now lots, anyone who makes a purchase might want to look at them before paying. If you buy more than one item, please wait for my invoice so I can combine postage

When payment is received by teatime British time (it is usually dished up about 4:30) I normally post the item the next morning. Our village post office is closed on Saturdays, however, so if you pay on Friday the item will not go out until the following Monday.
