Offered for sale are three Felt kits for Roland Space Echo (all models). I was senior engineer with Roland from 1988 and was well known for the servicing of these units. The felts, two for capstan and one for leaf spring are essential to be replaced after every 10 tapes to prevent soiling heads. The original felts were green and then Roland changed to white in colour, but were discontinued by Roland many years ago. I managed to find the correct Felt that has a proper Roland part number; this has the correct friction coefficient and works brilliantly. I used these when I was regularly servicing Space echos in the UK (I am now working in Brazil but these are held in my UK stock). These are the last felts I am able to get; once these are depleted  I can't gey anymore.

The felts are hand cut to at least the original length  and can be trimmed with sharp scissors if required. All felts have strong adhesive backing like the originals.

I have been through many different felt materials but this type is the only one that would transport properly.

I wrote a DIY service manual to help the non skilled user to service their own Space Echos (Available from Delatronics  dot com).

P.S. Delatronics is coming back to England in June and will be open for servicing these units again by October 2024; see Delatronics.com or our YouTube channel.
