This is Miller specialty tool C-714, Transmission Piston Return Spring Compressor, for 1946-53 Chrysler & DeSoto, and 1949-53 Dodge cars equipped with hydraulic transmission (may also be known as M5/M6 Presto-Matic  4-speed, 2 gear manual with electric overdrive with clutch and fluid coupling, Fluid Drive or torque converter, Fluid Torque Drive; also known as Tip-Toe Shift, Gyro-Matic, Fluid-Matic, Gyro-Torque).

WIth the exception of a few minor scrapes to the unthreaded part of the shaft, the tool is exceptionally clean, complete and undamaged, lightly oiled and wrapped with VCI paper to inhibit corrosion.
