The Chinese Lunar Calendar runs a 12-year cycle that includes the images of various different animals. The animals are always the same, with the cycle resetting every 12^th year to the initial animal. The first animal in the cycle is the rat, with the pig coming in as the final animal before the cycle resets.

The Year of the Pig design is only available through 2019, unlike other PAMP programs which run continuously.

The Year of the Pig design is in keeping with other issues in the Lunar Calendar Series from PAMP Suisse. On one side of the bar, you’ll find the image of an adult creature while the opposite side reveals a different angle of the design from the front face. Additionally, those reverse sides often depict a young creature of the same species.

On the obverse of 5 Gram PAMP Suisse Lunar Pig Gold Bars is the image of an adult pig. The pig is featured lying down in some grass or hay while a wooden fence meanders through the design in the background field. Only the Chinese symbol for pig is featured on this side of the bar with the design elements.

The reverse of 5 Gram PAMP Suisse Lunar Pig Bars features the same design from a different point of view. All you can see are parts of the adult pig emerging from behind that wooden fence, while the foreground includes two small piglets playing around.

These 5 Gram PAMP Suisse Lunar Pig Gold Bars are available to you with a red assay card package and feature a unique serial number on the reverse. The assay card includes the weight, purity, metal content, and the serial number of the bar, along with an assayer’s signature.
