Russian army 6B23 combat body armour. The 6B23 body armour was first used by the Russian military in 2003 and is the predecessor of the latest Ratnik 6b45 body armour. The body armour is fastened by adjustable Velcro waist and shoulder straps and has pockets for ballistic plates (not included). The groin and neck areas are also protected with a panel and collar respectively.


The 6B23 is still in active service today, used by both the Russian Army and the Wagner group in Ukraine.


This VSR-98 flora camouflage pattern example was taken in Izium near Kharkiv, Ukraine in March 2022. The body armour is named to a ‘Nikulin’ and is marked to the unit ‘7 MCP’ which originates from south east Siberia.


The body armour weighs 3kg and is in field used condition.
