Trouble is still part of the spearhead of traditional doom metal. Together with Pentagram, Saint Vitus, the band is considered part of Holy American US Doom Trinity. Together with the Swedish band Candlemass, the three groups are attributed the success of doom metal during the 1980s. The music of Trouble is predominantly considered classical doom metal. The group is said to be of great importance for the emergence and dissemination of the musical style. The group resorted to influences from heavy metal, New Wave of British Heavy Metal, Hard Rock and Psychedelic Rock. After three reissues on CD and LP so far, the band's secret classic, the 'Trouble' of the same name, is now also released. It was originally released in 1990 via Def American and produced by Rick Rubin.
