Synopsis: Tough prison drama set in the late Sixties. Many of America's political protesters, hippies and Black Panthers among them, were imprisoned in Attica, a high security prison, along with murderers and other violent criminals. Kyle MacLachlan plays a rookie prison guard, at the prison, who doesn't agree with the inhuman system of brutality. Slowly the pressure in the prison builds, until it explodes in a riot and the guards are taken hostage.
