A high quality miniature produced by RobbieycorpStudios.

This beautifully painted character display piece is a re-painted limited edition miniature originally produced by Weta Workshop as a Lord Of The Rings, The Two Towers Collectible. This diorama depicts a scene taken from the film where Gollum, having caught a fish in the forbidden pool at Ithilien, stares into the distance as the moonlight reflects up from the water and illuminates him.

The original sculpt was masterfully created by Jamie Beswarick, a senior artist and sculptor at Weta Workshop, and has been mounted on a scenic diorama base that features the underwater riverbed encapsulated by a clear resin sculpted water effect. The signed base features the artwork title and character name is a stylised handwritten typeface.

This display piece demonstrates a high quality rendering of skintones, cloth materials, facial features, and rocky terrain. It also incorporates high level painting techniques in the form of illuminated object source lighting reflecting the underneath of the character as if illuminated by the moonlit reflections of the pool. The style, while based in realism, has a painterly quality with visible brushstrokes around the piece.

This unique and special piece of collectible art would make an excellent addition for a Lord Of The Rings collector or fan.

He will never be rid of his need for it. He hates and loves the Ring, as he hates and loves himself. Sméagol’s life is a sad story. Yes, Sméagol he was once called. Before the Ring found him. Before it drove him mad.
