An early Chinese export chinoiserie cabinet.

A wonderful chinoiserie table top cabinet in the most amazing & beautifully preserved, black lacquered & hand painted gilt detailing. The twin doors open to reveal a shelved black Japanned interior with two drawers to the base with the exterior of the cabinet painted with the most wonderfully preserved traditional oriental scenes, leaves & berries and bamboo shoots to each sides.

A super thing.

Wear commensurate with age with the usual wear & tear to the paintwork & some wear & tear surrounding the bolt area inside the door. The key is absent though the door does stay closed as there is a later but very old screw to one side of the door jam which keeps it from opening.

Delivery will likely be via private courier hence price, if shipping works out cheaper, we'll refund the difference, if it's more expensive, we'll cover it.
